Gastric Bypass

Haven't blogged in a while but some random insomnia after Colts editing ends me up here..

Lately it seems that anyone can get a Gastric Bypass. I personally know some people that medically need it and have been denied. I also know people that can't lose baby weight or simply don't diet and exercise and maybe have not taken care of themselves and are getting this done. I think it should be for people that have tried EVERY option to lose weight and should be for those who genuinely could have health risks if they don't.

Getting this done because you want your partner to stay attracted to you or because you want to look like your skinny friends is not a valid reason. I think Doctors should make a person jump through hoops to get this procedure done. I doubt they will though. Insurance companies will pick up the tab and pass the costs on to people like me with a yearly rate increase.

I am not Mr. Fitness by any means but I won't take a short cut to the doctor to correct my un-healthy choices…
