Let the music play

While browsing the endless World Wide Web I came upon a "post" about the music at Colts games that we don't play enough "rap" and the playlist has not been updated since Edegrrin James played for us.

The James reference was false as all the Hip Hop that I play on defense includes recent track from Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Drake and is picked by the players. None of these cats were on the radar when Edge played for us so that comment is ridiculous at best. The touchdown song is picked by the team and they all have voted to keep it. I do not play "Taking Care of Business" during the game so reading that also made me laugh at another clueless posting.

As much as some people want the music to sound like a Jay Z concert, there are others that want it to sound like the Rolling Stones. I balance the best I can with ALL types of music which has kept me at the gig for the last 10 seasons.

I'm tired of the bullshit bandwagon people get on about rap music at the games, my bar gigs or whatever. The attitude and combativeness is getting old. If somebody comes up and asks me for a rock song that is way left field and I can't play it, they move along and not much is said. Why can't everyone be peaceful? I play as wide of a variety of music as I can for a wide variety of an audience. I am not the best at what I do nor am I the worst. However, still lasting in the biz since 1986 I must be doing something right.

Thought of the day

I don't work the normal 5 days a week 40 hours in that week, I don't bitch about it being Monday or count the days until Friday. I work 3 jobs that all have projects and duties beyond the normal scope. I hustle for what I have, I am blessed to be able to do what I do and provide like I can. And at the end of the day, would not want it any other way. Take the easy way out? Not me!

I do

Weddings for friends and referral from friends. Those are the most fun! I DJ'd a wedding for some close friends on Saturday and it was a blast. When I do an event like that and I don't have to take direction from a ton of people it is a win situation for me! I always give my friends a rock bottom rate since I know I won't have the headaches that sometimes happen with an event so important, so this latest one was a blast. Didn't start that way though...

The day of the event, I took a close look at my lighting system and decided that I was not going to spend the afternoon trying to get the fixtures all screwed back in place and bulbs in working order and all that. I am partly to blame, I had them on loan for quite some time and should have gotten them back months ago to work on them and have them ready for my next gig. As I was packing my truck for the gig I loaded everything but the lights up. I decided to load my laptop and wireless mic last since they are the smallest of everything I carry they would ride in the front seat. Setting up my front seat I put the wireless mic on the roof of the truck put my laptop in the front seat and off I went to Guitar Center.

Now I start heading down the road I hear something sliding off the roof of my car. The cars behind me were honking the horns and swerving around my wireless mic and receiver that fell off the truck and busted in a million pieces. So now I had to add a wireless mic into my list of things to buy at Guitar Center. The lights I wanted were simple and easy to use so I bought 3 fixtures. They are "sound activated" so you pretty much just plug-n-play and go about your business. I told the salesman I needed a cheap wireless mic. He sold me one with an extended warranty and also an extended warranty on one of the light fixtures.

As he was showing me the wireless mic I made mention that it looked like it had been opened. He showed me a sealed AA battery and said "look it hasn't been opened". In most cases they have a huge box of batteries that are sealed that they throw in to stuff that might be missing one or whatever. I took my 3 light fixtures and wireless mic and headed back home. I parked in a no-parking zone and threw on my hazard lights and took my lights in the house so I can start getting them mounted and all that fun stuff. Once that was done I loaded them into the car, finished some music up and was ready to get to the gig. I could set up at 4:45pm so leaving the house at 4pm would be plenty of time, or so I thought.

I'm packed with all my gear, new lights, and a new wireless mic! I turn the key and my battery was dead! Of course I freaked out! You never wanna be the "late dj" even more so when it is somebody's wedding! My neighbors were no help so I called my wife freaking out! She was in the wedding about to walk down the aisle with everyone else in 30 minutes! She made it happen and called her Mom to show up to give me a jump! I got to the gig on time, was all set up and ready to go and went to do a "mic check" and it DID NOT WORK! Does it seem odd that the mic that I was worried about being open in the store did not work? Of course I had a corded mic so there were no issues on that end.

I plan on raising hell at Guitar Center and will get retail justice on my wireless mic! Of course if I was better at planning and didn't freak out, my mic would not have taken the tumble that it did, my lights would have been in working order and I would not spent about $450 in about 10 minutes for equipment.

So do I do weddings? The answer is yes! Do I like them to go without hassle and without having to buy a ton of gear? Yes to that to! Is my blood pressure still up? Yes.

Spring and Summer

So since March of this year, I have been hospitalized twice, had two different surgeries and spent most of my vacation from my day job in and out of hospitals and doctors' offices trying to get healthy. Was also told I had to get on some blood pressure medicine as well. Been crazy not being able to get on any type of get away or even spend some time at the pool to relax. I have lucky that I am getting healthy and if God lets me, I plan to keep it that way. There are LOTS of people far worse off in health than myself so I am lucky to continue on the track that I am.

A few weeks ago as I am recovering from another surgery my co-workers at the day job would take my blood pressure daily to see where I was at. Part of it was cause they care and another was all of having laughs at how quick it shoots up when I would get off the floor dealing with a customer or the phone or reading an email. Greg Sanders was a friend and co-worker of mine for MANY years, he owned the bp machine and would always instigate getting a reading from me. We went to lunch every day that he worked and would always clown around to make the office staff laugh at us being goof balls. I often wonder if Greg goofing on my about my health was to hide the fact that he may not have been in that best of shape.

A month ago I had talked with the Colts about the upcoming season, talked about "my deal" and money and booked some other events as well. I was happy as can be! My health was going in the right direction, the Colts were going to have me back and life was looking up. July 21st Greg was a no-call no-show at the day job. I suggested that morning that we take a ride to his apartment for a "wellness check". My boss told me to wait and we would ride over there together and find out what was going on. We took a trip over to his apartment complex and spoke with neighbors on the last time they saw him. Someone found the complex manager and we met him outside of Greg's apartment so he could go in and see what was going on. The manager opened the door and we found Greg deceased. My emotions that day are indescribable. It is one thing when someone calls you and tells you someone has passed and it is WAY different when you are with someone as they pass as I did with my friend Jon Clinton a year and a half ago and then now finding Greg like we did. It does make you look at life different and changes part of you forever.

Once again, NEVER take life for granted EVER! In the blink of an eye, everything can change.

One thing life teaches us even though it is a hard lesson it is to heal, be stronger and move on. I am blessed every day I wake to be healthy and have my wife, family and true friends by my side as we all navigate life's journey. There is no set map or course, you just push forward and play the hand that life deals you…

What won’t keep my blood pressure down?

A month or so ago I was put on blood pressure medicine by my doctor. My schedule and hours I work and random stress related to all of it I am sure is the reason. I don't have a normal 9-5 job, my work day does not end when I leave the building for the day. It is what it is and I love what I do!

When I got the prescription filled my previous prescription provider said that my medicine was not one of the "preferred" and it cost $55 for basically 30 pills or a month's supply. We have a new prescription provider so I decided to look up the meds I am on now to see if it is "preferred" and if it wasn't, I was going to call my doc and have him prescribe one that does make the list. I got on the website for the prescription provider and saw that "Bystollic" is a preferred brand so I was happy that I would not have to call my doc and switch meds and all that business.

I printed that list and took it with me to CVS and they informed me the total was the same as the previous month. I had them check to see if they updated my info and they had done that. I tried to show them the list I had printed from the provider website and they said I had to call my provider. While waiting for my $55 prescription to be filled I called the provider and told them what was going on and they said they would have to call me back.

No matter the outcome, when I had my last surgery I was given a prescription for Vicodin and those 30 tablets were about $6! $6 for pain killers, a controlled substance that some people abuse, re-sell etc. I have blood pressure medicine that helps with daily quality of life and its $50! I would think the meds that have a high street value and are a risky for abuse would have a higher premium than simple blood pressure medicine.

Another recovery and

So here is a week since umbilical hernia surgery. Getting adjusted and back to the normal routine of things. This will be the 3rd surgery I have had since I turned 40. It does make ya think about taking things slower as ya get older. I look back on the way I poisoned my system in the 90's and know my health could be a lot worse. I hope this will be it for a while so with enough praying and luck I should be ok.

And

I read where singer Aaron Carter said he drank and did coke with Michael Jackson. MJ is dead and can't answer to this claim, people have not cared about Aaron Carter since his voice changed and now his brother Nick is back to work with the Backstreet Boys/New Kids tour so it sounds like this dude needs some press! I guess he now has said those quotes were wrong or whatever. Dude, you are washed up. Maybe you can be a roadie for Justin Bieber.

Everyone is pissed at the outcome of the Casey Anthony trial. The jury made the final call so be pissed at them and no one else. We can only hope that she messes up like OJ Simpson did years after he was sent free the 1st time and some judge and jury will throw the book at her and even the score.

I wish I knew what was going on with the NFL lockout. Working for the Colts for the past 9 years the only thing I have anything to do with is the music you hear in the stadium. I wish I had insight on the "inner workings" but I don't! Boooo!

If you like hard core rap like Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne then please go to the many of the great Hip Hop clubs in the city. Wait, you don't wanna go and you tell me "it's too ghetto, it's too thug"? Well, don't come to where I work asking for stuff you know is the complete opposite of what you are hearing. I keep it fun and simple!

That is all for now, carry on..

Hometown to Ghost Town

Saturday June 25th 2011 marked the 2 year anniversary of Michael Jackson the "King of Pop". I was born in 1968 the year the Jackson Family packed up and headed out West for fame and fortune. I grew up in Gary with my family and headed South after High School in 1986. I just looked at the numbers and that is kinda creepy. 1968, 1986... Anyways...

All of us in Gary hoped we had some type of connection with the famous family. We hoped for a homecoming, maybe a concert at the Genesis Center in downtown Gary or even to the Star Plaza in Merrillville. Closest we got were tour stops in Chicago and Indianapolis in the 80's and early 90's. Fact is, none of the Jacksons ever returned home for anything except for that failed song "2300 Jackson Street" song. Now Michael did return on June 11th 2003 for a bogus lawsuit from these cats wanting money from pre-Jackson 5 fame and after that MJ went to City Hall, his old house, Roosevelt High School and did the whole "I am proud to be from Gary" stunt. Got a key to the city, signed a promissory note to help with a performing arts center, blah blah blah. Quite a gap in homecoming 1968-2003! If there was not the legal issue he had to give a deposition for, I doubt Gary would have gotten a visit.

He was generous to kids and causes all over the world no one can ever dispute the generosity and his giving. None of those millions upon millions of dollars ever made it to Gary Indiana the place he was "proud to be from". It doesn't take me to tell ya that Gary could have used a few bucks throughout the years when he was alive. Since he has passed, both his parents have stopped by in Gary and coincidently after they visited, plans were announced to build the huge Jackson Museum in Gary that has damn near died off. Was the visit to get the hometown approval for such a ridiculous project?

All the people still in Gary that flock to 2300 Jackson Street that might not live in the greatest neighborhoods in the greatest of living conditions have to be somewhat pissed at the lack of help from the famous family. But you can see from the news footage from the house on the anniversary that when in doubt, "help yourselves"! I doubt any of the souvenirs that are being sold outside of the old house are licensed or have approval from MJ's "estate".

I would love to see one of these lawyers try and stop the survival instinct that is 2nd nature in Michaels hometown that is now a ghost town..

A week

Until I head to surgery to repair an "umbilical hernia". Having it done on a Friday sucks since I will miss Peppers but it does give me 4 solid days to rest and then return back to work after the holiday on July 5th. The only time I have had off from work has been medical related so that does suck. No time to take a "vacation" since 2 of my 3 weeks I get from the day job was spent in the hospital. But I am lucky to have a job, insurance and my health for the most part so I am not complaining. Well maybe just a tiny bit…

You can’t spell Blame without

"Me"

Take accountability for your actions even when the blame game seems to be an easier way out!

None of us are perfect in life but most of us strive to do the right thing and make it as best we can in this crazy world. Social networking like Facebook brings me amusement as I read random updates and see what people are posting for the world to see (or at least for the people that are on the friends list)

Perhaps #1 on my list is irresponsible reproduction. You can't go out like you used to, you can't afford whatever yet you will breed till you hit the brink of poverty just so you can say you have a child. Some people have kids for many wrong reasons. Some had no idea in planning yet will lay the blame on everyone else on how broke they are or can't "do what I used to" etc. Some people use it to trap their partner or use that to speed up otherwise stalled progress in the relationship. The kids end up suffering the most in the long run. And that is not fair. As long as Uncle Sam is around to pick up part of the tab or maybe your parents that wanna piss away their retirement helping out these sometimes silly choices, everything is ok.

Stop with the entitlement issues. If you don't like where you live then move. If you don't like where you shop or dine out or whatever, go spend your money elsewhere. You need to make the changes, people are not going to change for you. If your job is sucking then get a 2nd job or make the change to a better career. And by now everyone should know that school WILL NOT guarantee employment or the income you may need to make it in this world. Nothing is more annoying that someone with entitlement issues waving "a degree" and not having that job they think they deserve and only talking about needing a change and not aggressively and actively pursuing it. Most times people end up paying back student loans on the same level of income that they started school with.

Change whatever you have control over, don't make the same mistakes over. You can't spell "Blame" without "Me". Own it when you know you have to! Work hard each and every day. Make today different from yesterday!

Who prefers

This week I scheduled a doctor's appointment and dentist appointment on the same day. I figured it made sense to take care of as much stuff as I could in a day. The doctor was a visit with my new physician and was a follow up to the surgery and all of that from a few months back. Great guy and much closer to home so I feel great about that move.

My blood pressure has always been kinda high I suppose. There is a long list from my work schedule, sleep schedule, how I eat, etc. The doc decided to put me on Blood Pressure medicine to see if that would help me any. I got 2 weeks' worth of a sample and a prescription for when that runs out. Since I had ample time between doctor and dentist, I went to fill my prescription at my local CVS.

I again will say that I am very lucky to have insurance and not one day goes by and I take that for granted. When it was time for me to pick up my meds, I was told it was $55! My insurance paid $1.07! I was stunned and asked the clerk why it was so much and she said I had to call my insurance company. Getting a bill like that and seeing how insurance only paid so little would not keep anyone's blood pressure down.

My Insurance Company told me that my medicine must not be on the "preferred list" of medications. So I asked "then what is" and she said "I don't have that list you will have to go to this website, etc". I thought to myself, you can tell me this medicine is not "preferred" and deny paying anything on it but cannot give me the option on what is? So someone sitting behind a desk at the insurance company who is probably in cahoots with the pharmaceutical companies and doesn't know a thing about me and my conditions is now deciding what is good for me.

And that is going to keep my blood pressure down?

What a weekend

I could be on here posting what a crazy time I had at Carb Day, Mayday, The Indy 500 and Memorial Day but I worked though most of it. I do get a big kick out of the "concert going" rituals and updates and such from people. The whole "look at what I'm doing" tends to get a bit old but it does amuse when I want to waste time on Facebook. I work for and with great people at Peppers and the Indy OTB so when I am working it doesn't feel like work so I am blessed to say the least.

My "crazy weekend" was lunch and a movie and grocery shopping with the wife on Saturday with a nice nap before heading out to Peppers to spin. The regulars were all there so that made it fun as they always do. Worked Sunday day at the OTB and then headed to a house party with friends of ours. It was very nice to be outside, drinking a beer and having some laughs. I tend not to relax so when I do I try and make the most of it as best I can. The crazy weekend was in full swing on Monday with lunch at my Mother in Laws house, a nap with the wife on the couch and then woke up to cook us dinner, watch some TV then off to bed.

I have done MORE than my fair share of partying, I got enough of my fix on concerts when I worked on X 103 so where I am at now is a good place. I will continue to distance myself from anything and anyone that causes me stress or bullshit so I can have positive things to think and talk about.

Also Happy Birthday to my real hero in life, My Dad

YOU NEED TO PLAY

  • When u come up and ask for a song always start with "can you play..." (It gets my attention better than being demanding)

I'm not saying everyone has to have manners in most cases it's some dude thinking he is cool demanding a Lil Wayne track I will not play or, some broad that is used to some tool doing whatever she says & thinks I follow that path when she stumbles up to the booth in heels she can't walk in asking for Kesha that I just played before she got there…

Such a deep song for me way back when...

Well

A year ago this week I made my return to Peppers full time which made me the happiest! I also lost my best friend Jon Clinton to cancer which made me the saddest. I am an indescribable ball of emotions right now…

Prince is still the man!

And then there were 2

So "Layzie" & "Flesh" are mad that "Krazie" left Bone Thugs n Harmony. Does it matter in 2011? I mean, who cares really

So it's ok?

That when LeBron James Mom got into it with that valet that she dropped the "N" word? What would Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton have to say about that??

Winning?

As if the whole "Winning" thing isn't already played out, Charlie Sheen got with these cats and made a song about it. Not sure what will be worse, him trying to sing or rap. Of course we as a following society will give it Top 10 status I am sure in no time.. We shall see

Would I?

Try and take Sean Penn's picture and have him kick my ass so I can sue him?
YES I WOULD!

So this punk

At the age 0f 15, posts on his Facebook "Today Is The Day" goes into a school and shoots another kid. Few things that puzzle me. His Facebook profile pic was clear as day, he committed a crime of an adult but local media blurs his pic to protect him since he is a minor? Where was the protection for the kid that he shot or other people that could have been hurt by this idiot? Our legal system and the way we protect "suspects" needs some tweaking.

And one more thing, if video catches you clearly committing a crime, why do we waste time and taxpayer money on "due process". If they can use video at stoplights and issue people tickets based on running that stoplight, what is the difference?

The Thursday Night Party!!

So I Admit

I like some country music such as..

"Trailer Hood"-Toby Keith
"Hip Hop in a Honky Tonk"-Colt Ford & Kevin Fowler
"Brown Chicken Brown Cow"-Trace Adkins

These are funny tunes and when I have a video that captures my attention, I easily get hooked on the song.

I like trashy TV such as…

Real Housewife's of Atlanta, Jersey and OC

I hate the IRS

That is all I have for now…

Various

This past week I have had my 2nd surgery in my life to get rid of mrsa that showed up last week and blew up my cheek and jaw like I swallowed a softball.

When I was admitted to the hospital I was told I would be on a 24 hour antibiotic and hopefully would be on my way. I have never had an overnight stay so I was a bit freaked out. On that Sunday and once 24 hours had passed, a doctor came and took a look and said he would talk to another doc about having them "open it up" in a minor surgery on Monday. I of course freaked out but I knew it had to be done.

While in the hospital there are routine blood draws, blood pressure & temperature checks. They show no mercy for time of day so trying to get any solid sleep will not happen. Just when I get nice and comfy, in storm the nurses with the work that had to be done. During these many visits I was told that my blood pressure was high. Well, when you storm in at odd hours to check my vitals and wake me up from a dead sleep and scare the hell out of me, what do you expect? I once told the nurse that if she wanted a normal reading, sneak in while I am sleeping, slowly attach the cuff and get a reading. I bet it would be normal.

There are many reasons anyone would have high blood pressure I suppose. Too many I feel like listing here but I know there are some things I have control over and some that I do not. I have taken a long look at things in my life and much like Michael Jackson once sang, I'm gonna make that change"

My wife was by my side the whole time with visits from my sister In-law and Mother In-law and my boy Myles and his woman. The moral support from my sisters, Dad and Mom and Father In-law was very comforting as well. Mike Stancombe checking in on me while running 3 bars and traveling abroad was thoughtful indeed! Myles, Bill & Royce kept things going at my gigs very smooth. My Facebook friends that paid attention to what was going on showed the love which was nice! Even people I have never met face to face were showing support! It was very touching, all of it.

To say I am surprised not to hear from some people during all this would not be the right word this time. I could say I am "hurt" but that means I would be letting the predictability in peoples self centered bullshit bother me. I have gotten used to it by now and it makes it that much easier to create a further distance from some people or to cut them out of my life all together.

I'm gonna heal from this and say goodbye to being sick and some people also along the way..

Smarter than I look..

This latest entry will bore many of you so if nothing else, I shall blog about the technical stuff that I do for the Indianapolis OTB and Peppers.

When we closed the lower level at the OTB, we had a few flat screens that we took down and I had to come up with places to put these screens. It's not as easy as one may think as there are a few factors when you just wanna "put up a TV".

1-Is it a "load bearing wall" that we are gonna put the TV on? If not, anchoring a piece of plywood between the existing studs is the way we went and then attaching the TV bracket to that board.

2-Is there sufficient power nearby? Has to be on a 30 amp circuit otherwise you risk popping a breaker when you fire up the TV's all at once. Is the power "isolated"? The last thing you need is a bar neon or any type of heating/cooling unit to kick in and cause interference on the TV.

3-Is the RF signal clean getting to the unit? Too many people will take a feed going into a room and throw a splitter on the end to make another run into a another room. That is the WORSE thing you can do! Here is some free advice, ALWAYS have one point of a splitter (like near where the cable comes into the building) then run EVERY line from every TV back to that one splitter. You will be amazed how better the picture is. You lose 10db of signal every time you interrupt that line running through the building to get a TV going.

Installed a cable box at Peppers so we can get "Tru Tv" for the NCAA hoops. So what do you do if you have ONE cable box and 5 TV's that need that feed? Simple…

1-Took the RGB "component out" & ran it to the projector for high-def 1080.

2-Took the composite video out, ran it into a channel 3 "modulator". Took the RF output of that modulator and tapped in the other TV's that needed that cable box feed, problem solved!

So, if you need any of this deciphered for some video work you may need done, feel free to contact me!

I'm sure this is not as exciting as what I have done on radio and what I am doing in the clubs but it is another part of what I do and I am damn good at it!

Is that you?

It's amazing that most people change for the worse when they get a boyfriend/girlfriend and you don't hear a peep out of them until they get dumped or something bad happens. If you find someone that makes ya happy then great! Always stay true to yourself and your friends, don't morph into a phony just so you can say "I found someone" and it makes your life temporarily fit whatever façade you want people to believe.

Also just don't forget about your friends in the meantime or they just may forget about you first…

Why must we

Pay attention to someone like Charlie Sheen that obviously needs help? I guess since he is hanging out with strippers and is able to have some type of composure when he is doing TV interviews and such all of America seems not to worry. Reminds me of how people made fun of Anna Nicole Smith from being the Guess model, to gaining weight, to being fucked up on camera and on her own reality show and we all thought that was comical, until she was found dead in her hotel room. Makes me sick that we as a public are drawn to such spectacles

Why do we seek the self destruction of others I will never know? Michael Jackson pretty much worked himself to death using drugs to keep a schedule and such going to get back on track from being damn near broke. Yet we were glued to the TV when TMZ would catch him in public doing the simplest things cause we were hoping for something to talk about.

I guess that's why Reality TV is such a hit with everyone huh? All to see what happens next. Sad thing is that there are less famous people fighting worse problems and demons that could be right next to us that we would not care about it because we would have no clue it was going on.

Would You

Give me my stuff back if you were available to identify the contents and who it belonged to?

Someone has 2 IPods, Flip Video camera, digital camera and a pair of Headphones. Whoever has them will have no problem turning them back to the rightful owner since everything is pretty obvious who it belongs to. I doubt I will see my stuff again since we in society seem to follow the "finder's keepers" bullshit. And the fact it has been almost 2 weeks I am convinced it is a lost cause.

The things missing are important to my jobs so I wish it was things I could put on the "back burner" and not to have to buy right away. I was able to find used IPods at Disc Replay and the local pawn shop so that saved me a few bucks. I won't buy used headphones since that would be YUK!

Oh well nothing else to say here

How would u spend 1k in 2 days?

Since October of last year I know I needed a root canal. I put if off for a while for one main reason as anyone would, that is MONEY! I am happy as hell to have insurance however, most dental insurance sucks. With the procedures costing so much, how can you ever be "done" with dental issues in your life time? I get a maximum of $1,500 each calendar year. If you have a root canal and a crown that year (such as what I need in 2011), you can't have anything else go wrong or you are screwed! So I decided what bills I was put gonna out off for Feb and headed to the dentist on Monday with my $530 "co pay" in my wallet!

They gave me some "oral sedatives" to calm me down which cost $75 for TWO PILLS. Back in the day I could have self medicated myself much cheaper that that but what do you do. Once they got to poking around I was told I would have to come back for a 2nd trip to finish the procedure. Since I waited so long due to lack of funds, there was some infection going on that they had to clear out before anything can happen. The best news for that day is that I don't have to walk in with another $500 when I come back.

The night before the root canal, I headed out to dinner with the family. They are always such a blast. I was working the day job that day on about 4.5 hours of sleep and stressing about the root canal so my mind was all over the place by the time I met them for dinner. When dinner was done I was looking for a cable for my Father in law and was rummaging through my truck to find it. In all that mess I'm not 100% sure I did not move a gear bag out of my truck to get to this cable and forgot to put it back in my truck or the bag got ripped off somewhere my truck was parked.

In that bag was 2 IPods, a Flip Video camera, a pair of headphones and a digital camera. All things I use at Peppers and for the Colts. If someone did find it and saw the Peppers videos and pictures, the "perfect world" version to end this nightmare is that they would drop my stuff off at Peppers and be a good citizen. I doubt that is gonna happen and I dream that I am proven wrong and my stuff will magically show up. Gonna cost about $500 to replace the contents of that bag.

Of course I did not notice the bag gone until Tuesday since I was doped up from the root canal trip on Monday. I do know I need to track my stuff better but that also goes hand in hand with more sleep. Sometimes I don't know if I am coming or going but I'm a provider and am lucky and blessed to do so!

I just wanted to share how I could spend a thousand dollars in 2 days!

Leave quietly

Why does it seem like when you ask someone to leave the bar, they can't just walk out peacefully, they always wanna act like they are getting manhandled as they are heading towards the door to make a big scene like they are getting mistreated or something like that. Guys, if your woman is gonna get involved and start throwing blows with the staff, she will get handled as well. In retail or dining out when we get mad or feel like we get mistreated we all have said "I will take my money elsewhere". If more people took that approach when it comes to getting tossed out of a bar things would be much smoother.

Act like you have some sense, come out and have a good time and all is good… Stop walking into "da club" like you are running the show and feel like you are owed something. And when there are 25 cent drinks, it means the drinks are cheap and you shouldn't be.

100

This is my 100th post! Ok, that's all I got...

Yet Another One

Waka Flocka Flame is behind bars today after he turned himself in on gun, drug and gang related charges.

The GA rapper was charged with possession of marijuana, firearms (he’s a convicted felon), hydrocodone, and violation of probation and the state’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act.”

You get a record deal, songs that break the Top 40 and this is how you end up? You are given the golden chance to make some impact in pop culture and you screw it up. I hope the record label did not advance you lots of cash...
